DESCRIPTION:The British Canoeing Awarding Body Coastal Navigation and Tidal Planning course. \nThis classroom based navigation training course is designed for those paddlers carrying out coastal journeys including islands up to 2 nautical miles offshore in areas of tidal movement up to 2 knots and is a prerequisite for those seeking their British Canoeing Sea Kayak Leader Award.  However\, anyone wishing to undertake journeys on the sea using a kayak would find the technical and theoretical aspects not only useful\, but essential for safe travel in the marine environment! This course is designed to complement the areas covered in the British Canoeing Sea Kayak Leader Training as well a SUP Coastal awards or for anyone looking to head out onto the coast by sea and develop the skills to learn to plan journeys safely. \nThis is a full classroom based course\, upon completion a certificate will be issued from Canoe Wales.  The course cost includes access to all materials needed to complete the course\, registration fees along with complimentary tea and coffee. \nThe aim of this course is to give the student the tools to enable them to plan and navigate effectively on coastal journeys in moderate sea conditions. DESCRIPTION:Sea Kayak Leader (Tidal): The British Canoeing Awarding Body Sea Kayak Leader Tidal qualification is appropriate for leading others on journeys on moderate sea. This includes a stretch of coastline with some areas where it is not easy to land but there will always be straightforward land points a maximum of two nautical miles apart\, crossings not exceeding two nautical miles\, up to 2 Knots of tide (but not involving tide race or overfalls). Wind strengths do not exceed Beaufort force 4.
